Kommunity Fitness
Premium, full-body workouts in a social, immersive and entertaining environment
Introduction
Kommunity Fitness is the brainchild of a long-time fitness professional and serial entrepreneur. The idea? A community-driven, immersive fitness experience that combined working out with entertainment—in a format that wasn’t limited to a single trend or genre. His goal was to create a franchisable fitness brand with the energy of a nightclub, the structure of a circuit workout, and the potential to scale across North America.
Project Scope
- Brand development
- Marketing strategy
- Launch execution
- Content creation
- Franchise materials
The Challenge
Kommunity didn’t have a brand that reflected the magic of what they were building. The initial identity—just a name and a logo—felt flat. With a looming launch date and no internal marketing team, the pressure was real. In the fitness world, where trends change fast and first impressions count, a bland brand would never attract the right clientele, instructors, or franchise investors.
The Solution
Mothership’s mission was to bring the bold, immersive vision to life in a way that could stand out in a saturated market and scale into a national franchise. At the core was a key insight: consistency is the hardest part of fitness. To build a habit, you need more than sweat. You need novelty, community, and something to look forward to. And Kommunity needed their brand to reflect the same.
The Results
Kommunity launched in Vancouver to an enthusiastic reception, exceeding opening membership goals. The brand’s clarity and energy helped attract both instructors and customers, and more importantly, enabled the business to begin negotiating franchise opportunities across North America.
“Mothership brought my vision for Kommunity to life with unmatched energy and creativity, helping to build a bold, vibrant fitness brand that connects with both fitness veterans and newcomers. Together, we developed a concept with a distinctive edge, perfectly positioned for franchise success in both urban and suburban markets across North America. Beyond crafting the brand, Mothership led every part of our launch strategy, executing a dynamic marketing plan that has truly set Kommunity apart from any other fitness concept.”
