The Challenge
Malahat SkyWalk opened in July 2021 when the local and global tourism industries were still facing massive Covid-related challenges. Buzz and visitations were difficult to build and internal resources were stretched without a clear sense of what to focus on with their brand and marketing.
The Solution
We relaunched Malahat SkyWalk like a new brand: building pre-season awareness, injecting urgency and personality, and building a vision and support for an enhanced visitor experience. We streamlined media spend, promoted new food trucks and events, produced a fresh photo/video library, built a marketing calendar, and delivered multi-channel creative with a distinct Island flavour—backed by research to track awareness and insights.
The Results
Digital advertising performance improved, website visits climbed, and visitation trends stabilized — moving from a post-launch slowdown to steady growth. Marketing operations became more strategic, disciplined, efficient, and easier to hand over to new leadership.
